Grammarly and Google Translate

How to manage Grammarly and Google Translate settings for a smoother experience in Small Improvements.

Integrations: Managing Grammarly and Google Translate

Small Improvements is designed to provide a smooth, focused experience for performance reviews and feedback. To ensure your data saves correctly and the interface remains stable, we recommend disabling third-party browser extensions like Grammarly and Google Translate while using our platform.

Why we recommend disabling these extensions

While these tools are helpful for general web browsing, they can sometimes interfere with the way Small Improvements saves your text or renders the page. This might lead to unexpected behavior, such as:

  • Text formatting issues.

  • Errors when saving long-form feedback.

  • Interface elements not appearing as intended.

How to disable Grammarly in Chrome

If you use the Grammarly browser extension or desktop application, you can easily turn it off specifically for Small Improvements without affecting your work on other websites.

  1. Open Small Improvements in your browser.

  2. Click the Grammarly icon (usually floating in the corner or near your text field).

  3. Locate the toggle for Check for writing suggestions on app.small-improvements.com.

  4. Switch the toggle to Off.

How to disable Google Translate

Google Translate’s "Always Translate" feature can sometimes modify the underlying code of our performance review forms, potentially causing data loss.

  1. Look for the Google Translate icon in your browser's address bar.

  2. Click the icon and select the three-dot menu (Options).

  3. Choose Never translate this site.

Tip: If you are writing in a language other than English, Small Improvements supports various character sets natively. You don't need Google Translate active to type in your preferred language!
