Writing strong objectives can be tricky, especially when you're trying to strike the right balance between clarity and ambition. The Objectives Coach offers helpful, AI-powered tips based on the SMART goal framework to make your objectives more effective.

What the Objectives Coach does

After you've created and saved an objective, the Objectives Coach can analyze it and offer suggestions to help improve it using the SMART method, encouraging goals that are: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound.

Rather than editing your goal, the Coach gives you clear tips for how to make it stronger. You choose which suggestions to act on.

How to use the Objectives Coach

  1. Go to the Objectives tab.

  2. Open an existing objective that you've already created.

  3. The Coach will immediately start generating suggestions.

  4. Review the suggestions based on your current objective.

  5. Click Edit to apply the tips to adjust your wording, add missing details, or reframe your goal.

  6. Click Save when you're done editing.

Note: Both employees, managers, and HR will see the Objectives Coach's suggestions when viewing an employee's objectives.

Plan availability

The Objectives Coach is available on the Grow, Elevate, Feedback Suite, Unified, and Gold plans.

If your account includes this feature, it will be automatically available to all employees. No configuration is needed.
