What’s the difference between Reviews and 360 Feedback?

Reviews are designed for a more traditional performance review between managers and employees only, while 360 Feedback allows multiple stakeholders to provide feedback for any given employee. A key difference is that Reviews support overall ratings and calibration, whereas 360 Feedback does not.

Can employees change their nominated reviewers after they’ve been submitted/approved?

If no approval is required, employees cannot update their nominations after submitting.

If manager/HR approval is required, employees can only update their nominations until they’ve been approved.

Can I use separate questionnaires for managers, peers, etc. within the same cycle?

No. Each cycle has one questionnaire that is sent out to all reviewers, regardless of their relationship to the reviewee. If you must use different questionnaires, you’ll need to set up separate cycles for each questionnaire.

Can I give or request feedback outside of a formal cycle?

What do guest reviewers see?

Guest reviewers will only see the specific feedback requests sent to them and no other company data.

How can managers release 360 feedback to their direct reports?

360 Feedback is automatically shared with reviewees on the “Feedback released to reviewees” date that has been set for that particular cycle. If you’ve enabled “Allow managers to release feedback before this date” in the cycle settings, managers can share reviews ahead of time by following these steps.

1. Go to Teams > 360 Feedback and select the relevant cycle.

2. Click the "View" option for the employee whose feedback you want to release.

3. On the submitted feedback page, click the "Share with..." option to release the feedback to the employee.

Keep in mind that when you manually share feedback ahead of schedule, any additional feedback submitted afterward will be immediately released to the reviewee.
